I'M STARTING A PODCAST!
The clue’s in the title really! But, yes I'm starting a podcast! A new chapter of creativity, inspiration, and artistic exploration for me and Creative Nowhere Land that I’ve been talking about for a long time. I truly believe that in the vast landscape of artistry and creative expression, there's always room for more voices, more stories, and more inspiration. So over the past few months, I’ve started to sit down, delve deep, and record some captivating conversations with some of the most interesting and inspiring humans in my life. The results of which, I'll be turning into The Creative Nowhere Land Podcast.
BUT WHY?
Well, as I said, I believe there’s always room for more voices, stories and inspiration. But here are my main reasons:
I KNOW COOL PEOPLE!
After a long career so far in the creative industry, combined with my general love of meeting new people, I'm lucky enough to rub shoulders with some very interesting and inspiring humans. From quirky artists to adventurous entrepreneurs, professional athletes to international performers. Each one, to me, with their own level of awesomeness. And you know what? It's high time I shared their stories with the world.
TO INSPIRE OTHERS!
It’s cliched I know, but if one person can be inspired by listening to the podcast when it goes live, then I’m happy. We forget sometimes that the stories we tell, and also the stories of others, carry a profound power to inspire and uplift in ways that resonate deeply with the human experience. The people in my life all have been on their unique journeys. There have been triumphs over adversity, moments of profound clarity, bravery, passion and perseverance, all to get to where they are today.
Hopefully, the stories can inspire anyone who might listen in some way, through their own challenges and uncertainties. Or perhaps give them a renewed sense of possibility and purpose, by hearing what others have been through to achieve their goals in life, whatever they might be.
BUILD THE CREATIVE NOWHERE LAND COMMUNITY!
I’m always looking to expand my horizons, build connections, and grow the Creative Nowhere Land network. I’ve been very open about the fact that I want Creative Nowhere Land to be about more than just me, and more about a community of creative and inspiring people all trying to lift and help each other. But starting a podcast will hopefully build the community further with like-minded people.
I WANT TO BE BETTER!
Alright folks, let's get down to it— by launching the Creative Nowhere Land podcast, I'm not just here to entertain and inspire (although that's a pretty big part of it). I'm also in it for selfish reasons. I’m on my own artistic and creative journey, and a constant mission of self-improvement. Each guest that comes on the podcast brings with them a wealth of knowledge, experience and perspective. And you better believe I'm taking notes, soaking up every bit of wisdom, as best I can, like a sponge.
IT’S FUN!
Last but not least, I find it fun! I love talking to people and finding out about their lives and what makes them tick. And the more I talk to people about their experiences, the more it fuels my curiosity, inspires new ideas, and reminds me of the beauty and complexity inherent in every human story.
WHEN ARE YOU RELEASING IT?
Now there’s the million-dollar question! Truth is, I don’t know yet! It turns out that recording and creating a podcast is quite a lot of work. So, the recording has started, some have been edited but they need a lot more work, music, intros and outros. I have more dates lined up for other guests, and I plan to try and get a good number in the bank so that takes some of the future recording pressure off. I don’t want it to be one of those podcasts that stop after 5 episodes because they can’t keep up with the recording. Anyway, that’s a me problem haha! Let’s just say it’s…
