Starting with a background in design and retail management, over 12 years she climbed the ranks to become head of buying at Selfridges, where she brought to market brands that are household names today like Charlotte Tilbury. It’s here that Wizz mastered the art of market distinction, gaining the experience she needed to understand what it takes to be successful in the market.
Driven by her passion for new challenges, Wizz transitioned from Selfridges to, the luxury brand, Soho House, marking a bold step into new territory, taking on the role of Director of Sales for retail brands Cowshed and Soho Home. This time, sitting on the other side of the pitching table. This pivot offered Wizz a fresh perspective on the retail landscape, learning new lessons and applying all that she was learning to her vast skillset.

5 TIPS TO STAND OUT, MARKET YOURSELF AND MAKE MONEY.
UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU REALLY DO! - If someone asks you what you do, can you tell them in a no-nonsense way that stimulates emotion? In corporate terms, what’s your ‘elevator pitch’? How do you solve someone’s problem and add value to them?
LEARN ABOUT YOUR IDEAL CUSTOMER! - Who’s your ideal customer? Do a hypothetical customer analysis. Who are they? What brands do they buy? Where do they travel? When you know your ideal customer it becomes easier to find them.
LOOK AT YOUR EXISTING NETWORK! - Don’t underestimate the people you already know. It’s not always about finding new clients. Build a loyal community that helps promote you even when you aren’t in the room.
LEARN SALES! - Don’t be afraid to sell. It’s about finding a style that works for you. It’s not all about the hard sell. The first part of selling is listening to people about what they want.
BUILD YOUR PERSONAL BRAND! - It’s not easy but people buy from people so let people in. Your personal brand is your superpower and, best of all, it’s free. You’re the only one who can do you!
