BECOME AN AWARD WINNING ARTIST!
Do you dream of becoming an award-winning artist? Finally getting some recognition for the work that you put your heart and soul into creating. Well, the idea might seem daunting at first, but let me tell you—it might be more achievable than you think! Yeah sure the fear of rejection and the pressure of competition can be overwhelming. But here’s the truth: You’re not going to win anything if you don’t enter. You have to be in it to win it! So, here’s why you might consider entering yourself…
PUT YOURSELF OUT THERE!
When I first considered entering some art competitions, I was filled with self-doubt. Was my work good enough? Would anyone even notice it? But then I realized that these fears were just barriers to my growth, and barriers that I created. By taking the plunge and submitting my work, I put myself out there in ways I never have before. And guess what? I did it! I'm now very proud to call myself an award-winning artist.
21ST POLLUX AWARDS - FOTONOSTRUM.
You might've already seen my blog about the 19th Pollux Photography Awards, where I was lucky enough to receive two honourable mentions in the competition, and got to exhibit at the incredible Fotonostrum Galler in Barcelona.
Well, this time I entered the Nude and Figure category of the 21st Pollux Photography Awards, with my ‘Behind Closed Doors' series, and, I’m very proud to say that it won!
This is my first award as an artist and I’m very happy to say that my work, will once again be on show in my favourite city, Barcelona, at the Fotonostrum Gallery in July 2025 and I can’t wait. You can also see it here in the gallery magazine.

I DON’T HAVE ALL THE ANSWERS!
Look, I definitely don’t have all of the answers to becoming an award-winning artist. It’s subjective and every competition is different. I’m not sure I have any answers at all really. But, as I said earlier, the one thing I do know is, that you have to be in it to win it! So, here are a few reasons why, the next time you see a competition, you might consider entering.
WHY WINNING AWARDS CAN HELP CREATIVES!
